Also because not all machines are built alike, if you’re like me the tiny 1/4″ opening to fit my ruler foot into the shapes simply will not do. Inside we have unique size circles measuring at 3/4″, 1 & 3/4″ and 2 & 3/4″. this is because our sashings and borders are often 1″, 2″, or 3 ” and lets face it not all quilts are sewn perfectly. these sizes are great scant sizes that allow for your circular designs to fit even when the sashings waiver in consistency. Some sitdown shanks are too low to fit the ruler behind the foot and the ankle might hit, check for clearance before purchasing for a sitdown machine

- The Retro Block Border buddy is a rounded square free motion quilting ruler with the outer dimensions measuring at 8″ x 8″ on either side. This ruler is unique because it is 1/4″ acrylic which means it can be used on all longarm/ midarm machines and domestic high shank machines. Also because not all machines are built alike, if you’re like me, the tiny 1/4″ opening that most inset rulers have, to fit my ruler foot into, simply will not do. So welcome the unique puzzle design that will open into 2 sections and fit around all ruler feet!Inside we have smaller retro blocks that quilt 3″ , 2″ and 1″. Ruler has 1″ markings all around for ease of use when making intricate designs and 45* angle and 1/4 inch inset lines in the top left corner for adjusting spacing when quilting. Each square has a 1/4″ offset and 45* and 90* markings for alignment purposes. Also round the entire ruler are 1″ spacings. **Disclaimer these rulers are the sizes as marked as they are designed for mapping designs. When you use them to quilt they will add 1/2″ to he overall circle size when stitched. so the 3 1/2″ ruler quilts out at 4″ and the 2 1/2″ ruler quilts out 3 inches. ETC. SO be sure to remember that when you’re quilting. Rulers are sold only as a set and not individually.
