Four built-in design tools

Full-spectrum degree lines. All angle markings start from the ruler’s center and alternate in semi-transparent pink and blue, making the exact diagonal you need pop at a glance.

Quarter-inch measuring edge. The long side is precision-marked every ¼”, with the “quilting math” already done on the top and bottom edges—numbers stay right-side-up no matter which hand you hold it in.

Matchstick-ready short edge. Dotted ⅛” guides across the short side let you knock out crisp matchstick lines without guessing spacing.

Plan-and-quilt layout grid. Use the markings on the Mirra Ruler to draft motifs directly on the quilt top, then stitch them with the same ruler for perfect continuity, Notice the 1/4″ markings along the long edges of the ruler, you can utilize these to quickly measure and map your spacing.

Markings are UV-printed in sheer color so you see your fabric clearly, and they’re sealed under Quilters Rule’s signature fabric-gripping action—a subtle, all-over texture that keeps the ruler from skating without the need for stick-on grips.

Clear Acrylic – 1/4 inch thick 4″x 8″
Laser cut from 1/4 inch acrylic and digitally etched with fabric gripping action. Safe on Longarms and High Shank Home Machines quilting around with the appropriate ruler foot.
Mirra Straight Edge is uniquely designed for quilters of all skill levels. The markings on the Mirra quilting ruler are unique in that they are meant for Left handed AND right handed quilters, now, no matter which hand you hold your ruler in, all your markings are easily read! The Mirra quilting ruler has 4 specific design tools that allow you to plan your quilting on your quilt top, and execute ruler work quilting designs with ease.
All degree markings are center of ruler, so no matter what hand you’re holding, you can utilize the entire scope of degree lines, they alternate in Pink and Blue (semi transparent) so that you can easily identify the diagonal line you’re looking for. The ruler on it’s longest edge is marked by the 1/4 inch, these markings are all laid out with the quilting math already done for you on each side; and the numbers are made in such a way that you can read it properly whether you’re holding your quilting ruler in your left or right hands. On the rulers shortest edge you’ll notice we have dotted lines, these indicate 1/8th inch spacing across the ruler so you can get matchstick lines quilted with ease! All markings are printed UV right on top of the acrylic in semi transparent colors that allow you to see through the ruler, and finally, the final piece of the puzzle that makes this Mirra quilting ruler golden, is that it has Quilters Rule “fabric gripping action” on top of the UV printing, so you don’ have to worry about numbers rubbing off and the ruler coming unusable… you also have no need for ruler grip, because the whole ruler, is just a bit grippy!
