This pattern was created to replace the Panels used in the online free motion Quilt along "Simply Gorjuss", so If you've taken the class but need a panel this applique pattern is the next best thing! Pattern includes all pieces drawn out for the applique pattern to copy,  and written instructions for how to apply; the pattern was created in a way for you to make her your very OWN! you can take liberties with the "extra" pieces included in the pattern to customize your little mermaids mop or little friends and accents! AND you can create her forward facing &  or rear facing depending on which body parts and hair parts you select to cut out. Pattern is made for 2- 22" x 22"  squares for each mermaid and directions and yardage estimates are enough to create one of each mermaid. Like the colorway you see here? 17x 24 inch fusamat The Silicone Appli-Fuse Mat is made of a silicone and glass fiber material that is heat resistant up to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C.). That means it is the perfect surface for all of your fusing, ironing, and gluing needs. Fusible Applique Place the applique design under the Appli-Fuse mat. Since the mat is transparent, the cut applique shapes can be placed perfectly. Since it is heat resistant, multiple layers can be placed simultaneously and pressed with a hot iron. The layered appliques can then be picked up as one piece and placed on the background fabric. An added bonus? The mat is slightly tacky so the pieces won’t migrate when positioned. Glue Guns Since the Appli-Fuse mat can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees F. (260 degrees C.), it is the perfect working surface whenever using a glue gun.
