In this hands on workshop we will cover multiple avenues for planning, mapping and dissecting your quilt top so that you can design and quilt your own custom pieces with confidence.
It is so important you learn varying ways to make your designs come to life, that’s why I will be showing examples of planning, mapping and quilting on 4 different layouts of mandalas for you. We will use all the tools at our disposal to complete these tops, so get your quilt sandwich ready and unbox all those rulers and marking utensils in that drawer.. because you’re going to be inspired to use them!

Dividing your top makes symmetry so easy when designing your mandala map out. Practice your design options over and over, you’ll see that as long as it’s symmetrical. Most Map outs look gorgeous on any mandala. use the worksheets below to practice

This is a quick video to show you some best practices on holding and using your rulers. Please use a ruler foot whenever you a re doing ruler work quilting and be prepared with a ruler base for best results.

There is no perfect way to map and stitch a mandala sometimes just creating and duplicating can go a long way. Symmetry (or close to, is beauty it will all just work, let the ideas flow. I sure hope watching me stitch can illuminate better…
